The Latest Results on Beach Aesthetics

The information collected through BeachBeat and submitted through the website will be added to our national beach aesthetics database.

Once the information submitted has been Quality Assured (this may take a few days), it will be available over the internet to everyone.

The Environment Agency has already carried out three snapshot surveys at every designated bathing water site in England and Wales (that is over 470 beaches!). These were carried out in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

These results are already available through our database, known as the Online Aesthetic Survey Information System (OASIS).
